Building B of the historical complex of Masaryk Railway Station belongs to its oldest part. It was built in close proximity to the main departure hall as a dispatch and administrative facility. The generous ground floor with a high line of columns and a roofed atrium refers to the attributes of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the importance of the building at the time of the construction of the station on the site of the broken city walls.

The building already underwent a partial ground floor renovation in 2010-2014, along with the reconstruction of the departure hall itself (project website), and was then generally reconstructed for the purposes of the ČD services, mainly administration and accommodation for train drivers. In the process, the street and courtyard facades were utilised by dividing them into three tracts with an inserted glass structure. The reconstruction of Building B fits into a long line of projects TaK Architects has been carrying out as part of the redevelopment and conversion of the historic buildings of Masaryk Station, beginning in 2009.
