RENOVATION AND NEW ANNEX
The project is implemented on the basis of a public tender called by the state of Kuwait in 2003. The winner of the Design&Build tender was the consortium of Podzimek a synové s.r.o. and TaK s.r.o. The project consists of a renovation and completion of a pseudo-baroque villa built in the district of today´s Bubeneč around 1930, so that the building can serve as a residence of Kuwait´s Ambassador.
The principal idea of the design was to accentuate the heavy architecture of the First Republic using modern morphology for the annex and garden planning of the property.
Plastered elevations with bossage and rich tectonics are therefore provided with elements of broken stone, timber and glass.
