The first phase of restoration of the iconic Bílá Labuť (White Swan) nearing completion

After several years of work, the first phase of restoration of the iconic Bílá Labuť (White Swan) building, which was the most modern European department store of its time, is finally nearing completion. The entire ground floor, with display windows and a large awning over the entire entrance, has been renewed, in addition to meticulous restoration work linked to renewal of the large glazed façade onto Na Poříčí Street. This section has also undergone transformation from the aspect of architectural layout, the original refitted elements have been supplemented by new elements and the entire façade is now ready for the planned subsequent phase of transformation of the entire department store, creation of a new passage and conversion of the interior courtyard.
